EuroPLoP 2000

Fifth European Conference on Pattern Languages of Programs
5 - 9 July 2000
Irsee, Germany

EuroPLoP is a conference that explores, develops and celebrates patterns in software. As with PLoP in the US, the main focus of EuroPLoP will be a series of writer's workshops where pattern authors work together to improve their patterns. In addition to these workshops there will be discussion groups, BOF sessions and working groups (similar to the Hot Topics at ChilliPLoP), as well as time for games and relaxation. You can also bring your kids; childcare will be provided during the sessions.
As with the previous EuroPLoPs, EuroPLoP 2000 will be held at Kloster Irsee - a former Benedictine monastery in the heart of Bavaria, Germany. Its history can be traced back to the 12th century, and the buildings we see today were erected in the beginning of the 18th century. This beautiful and tranquil setting greatly contributes to the unique EuroPLoP atmosphere. The conference will begin on the evening of Wed July 5 with a welcome dinner. The actual conference program takes place from Thu July 6 to Sat July 8. The conference will last until breakfast on Sun July 9.
